The JFB-Institut für Zoologie und Anthropologie at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is offering a PhD position in the Scientific Project of the Biodiversity Exploratories

The position will be limited to 3 years and should be filled as soon as possible. Salary: Pay grade 65% TV-L 13 of German state regulated public service salary scale.

Your duties
The PhD project forms part of a larger project investigating the response of soil animal communities to forest land-use intensity. The PhD project will focus on fungal feeding soil invertebrates, such as Collembola and Oribatida, and investigate their trophic interrelationships with litter and soil fungi using molecular techniques.

Your profile
The applicant should hold a Master in ecology or related fields, have a research focus on insects and / or soil fauna, is willing to collaborate with other researchers in the project and is proficient in English.
